Sales and Marketing Apprenticeship

The Sales and Marketing Apprentice would work within the Sales and Marketing Department at GL events Owen Brown, Castle Donington and would report to the Marketing Manager.

They would act as the administrative support to the Sales and Marketing departments helping with a multitude of tasks including:

Filing and other basic admin tasks
Data entry
Building contact databases
Dealing with print suppliers
Assisting with the preparation of trade shows
Small design tasks
Mail fulfilment for mailing campaigns
Assisting with the completion of tenders
Internal and external email broadcasting
Taking enquiries over the phone and handling the process of passing this through to the sales team and following up accordingly
Compiling information for press releases

The future of the Sales and Marketing apprentice would really depend on where there specialities lie. But we hope that it would be as a Marketing Assistant, managing their own marketing projects which could include prospect targeting, developing new websites and running PR and advertising campaigns.

Metal Workshop Operative - Apprenticeship

Our workshop department is responsible for the repair and maintenance of temporary structures.   

This role will include the following day to day duties and responsibilities:-

Assist with the receipt & unpacking of metal frameworks returned from clients.

Inspection of  safety critical components, checking for any cracks or damage.

Use a range of engineering tools and equipment to repair, maintain and modify metal frameworks e.g. re-welding components together using the mig welding process and drilling and threading holes to enable readjustment and refitting of components.

Prepare and submit accurate paperwork recording work carried out and in line with business policies.

Assist with sorting and storage of the various components, large and small) which make up a full structure

Handle all substances in accordance with H&S policies.

Act in accordance with the Company rules and code of conduct.

Other duties as necessary within either of the workshops.

We will consider any age group for these apprenticeships and will fund the NVQ training that runs alongside the apprenticeship. You must not be qualified past NVQ Level 2 to be considered.
